Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the 20th annual MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic will once again feature top-of-the-line college basketball at the Broward County-owned BB&T Center (@theBBTCenter) on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The Florida State Seminoles will take on the Massachusetts Minutemen in the first leg of the doubleheader and the Florida Gators match-up against the Fresno State Bulldogs in the second game.
Game times will be announced at a later date. Tickets are now available through www.ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet, by phone (800-745-3000) or at the BB&T Center box office.
“The MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic continues to grow in popularity each and every year and I have no doubt the 2013 doubleheader will be one of the best ever,” said SSE President Michael R. Yormark (@PanthersYormark). “The BB&T Center has proven to be an incredible venue for college hoops and with two great match-ups during the peak holiday season, I’m expecting record crowds and incredible support for these student-athletes.”
Special ticket packages are available for supporters of the Florida Gators or the Florida State Seminoles starting at $75 and include a ticket to both games, access to either the official Florida or official Florida State tailgate on the County-owned arena’s party City Patios (food and beverage included), and a commemorative gift. College hoops fans are encouraged to call 954-835-SHOW now to order their tickets since only 300 tickets are available for each tailgate.
