Rush to Play Exclusively at BB&T Center Friday, Apr. 26

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that the legendary rock group Rush will bring their Clockwork Angels Tour exclusively to the BB&T Center, Friday, Apr. 26 at 7:30 PM.

Tickets are available for purchase through Ticketmaster on Jan. 28 at 10:00 am. You can purchase tickets by going to www.ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet, by phone (800-745-3000). Tickets will also be on sale at the BB&T Center box office on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 9am.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Rush to the BB&T Center” said SSE Executive Director of Event Programming Aaron Zimmerman. “Rush is known for putting on fantastic live shows and I am sure it will be one of South Florida’s premiere events of 2013.”-Formed in 1968, Rush has become one of the most influential rock groups of the modern era. Bringing progressive rock to the mainstream, Rush has won numerous accolades, including multiple Juno awards and Grammy nominations. The Canadian trio are the first rock musicians to be named officers of the Order of Canada. Known for their musicianship and complex musical compositions, such as “Tom Sawyer”, “Limelight”, “Working Man”, “Spirit of the Radio” and “Fly By Night”, 2013 will be a big year for Rush, who not only will support their new album Clockwork Angels, with a world tour, but will be inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame.

The recently renamed BB&T Center was ranked No. 18 in the United States according to the fourth quarter arena venue rankings by trade publication Pollstar. The “Center of it All” has a remarkable schedule of concerts and events on tap for the beginning of 2013 including Muse, Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga.
