The Florida Panthers earned their first Southeast Division title in franchise history during the 2011-12 season. The Panthers sat atop the Southeast for 128 days, including 43 straight days to end the regular season.
Florida finished the season with a 38-26-18 mark, to earn its first playoff berth since 2000. In the 2012 post season the Panthers forced the Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Devils to seven games, before losing in double overtime.
