BB&T; Center to Host Golden Boy Live! Boxing on Nov. 26

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment has announced that Golden Boy Live! will be coming to the BB&T Center on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Golden Boy Live! showcases heavyweights Antonio Tarver and Mike Sheppard in the main event, and also features two heavyweight showdowns in the undercard bouts. Unbeaten 2012 U.S. Olympian Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale takes on Nagy Aguilera in an eight-round televised bout, and veteran contenders Odlanier “La Sombra” Solis and Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson meet in a 10-round non-televised bout for the IBF Intercontinental Heavyweight Title live from the BB&T Center.        

In this evening’s co-main event, undefeated bantamweight Randy “El Matador” Caballero makes his Florida debut against local southpaw Jessy Cruz of Miami. Seven of the boxers are Florida natives, boxing in their home state. “We are thrilled to have Golden Boy Boxing at the BB&T Center, especially with the number of participants who are Florida natives” said Panthers President and CEO Michael R. Yormark (@PanthersYormark). “This event will provide South Florida boxing fans with a fun and exciting night of entertainment.”

On the night of the event, Yormark and his family will also host 250 children from the Lauderhill Boys & Girls Club for a Thanksgiving feast. A group of SSE partners are contributing to this special feast including DelVecchio’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant (food), Kayem Foods (food), Centerplate (food), National Beverage Corp. Purchasers of VIP Tables will enjoy a ring side meet and greet with light heavyweight Bernard Hopkins as well as a photo opportunity prior to the fights.
