BB&T; Center To Unveil New Basketball Court And Design During MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic Saturday
SUNRISE, FL – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the BB&T Center will unveil a brand new basketball court and design for the 2012 MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic on Saturday, Dec. 29. The new court design is representative of the BB&T Center’s strong attachment to the City of Sunrise, Broward County and the entire South Florida region.
The “BB&T Center Basketball Series” is featured on the design’s center court logo, but will be replaced by the Orange Bowl Basketball logo during Saturday’s doubleheader. Also featured in the design are the “Sunrise, Florida” marks at each end, the angled herringbone court pattern, the shadowed palm trees stretching around the three point line, and more. The dominant colors of the court are BB&T Center red (PAN194) and gray.
“This BB&T Center court design is a wonderful representation of the incredible South Florida community in which we reside,” said SSE president Michael R. Yormark. “We are proud to represent the City of Sunrise – and thus Broward County – on the new court design which we hope will gain even greater exposure as we look to expand our college basketball content in the near future.”
The 2012 MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic will be the first event to take place on the new BB&T Center court when Florida State faces Tulsa and No. 11 Florida plays Air Force on Saturday, Dec. 29 beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets are available now by logging on to Ticketmaster.com or calling 954.835.PUCK.
