SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the critically-acclaimed Cirque Du Soleil Dralion will begin its exclusive South Florida run of 14 shows at the BankAtlantic Center this Thursday, July 19 until Sunday, July 29.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cirque Du Soleil back to the BankAtlantic Center for yet another incredible run of exclusive performances,” said SSE president & COO Michael R. Yormark. “Last year, all of Cirque’s Alegria performances were nearly filled to capacity so I am sure South Florida entertainment fans will be excited for the critically-acclaimed Dralion.”
Tickets for the shows are still available at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone (800-745-3000), at www.ticketmaster.com and during normal hours at the BankAtlantic Center box office.
Thrilling more than 8 million people worldwide since the show premiered in 1999, Dralion is the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil. The name Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”) is drawn from its two main symbols: the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West. Dralion derives much of its inspiration from Eastern philosophy with its perpetual quest for harmony between humankind and nature. The international cast features 52 world-class acrobats, gymnasts, musicians, singers and comedic characters.
