Crush Games Return To BB&T; Center Aug. 22-24
Crush Games IV Features Elite Fitness Enthusiasts hosted by the “I AM Crossfit” family.
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that Crush Games IV will return exclusively to BB&T Center (@theBBTCenter) from Aug. 22-24, taking place from 8:15 a.m. to 6 p.m each day. The Crush Games were also held at BB&T Center in August 2013.
Organized by the “I AM Crossfit” family, tickets will be on sale to the general public at the BB&T Center Box Office on days of competition. Admission is $15 per day for Friday and Saturday events, $10 for Sunday event or a three-day pass for $25. Admission is free for children 12 years of age and under.
“We are ecstatic to have the Crush Games return to BB&T Center for the second straight summer,” said SSE Vice President of Event Programming Kevin Grove. “The fourth annual Crush Games will be highlighted by a great weekend of non-stop and thrilling action for the whole family that will see some of the best CrossFit competitors come to South Florida and compete in various fitness tests.”
This year’s Crush Games will once again gather over 1,000 of the nation’s top athletes in a three-day-long battle, testing their physical and mental toughness. CrossFit has seen an enormous increase throughout the world, but specifically in South Florida, with athletes who are anxious and ready to take their strength and endurance to the next level. CrossFit enthusiasts travel across the nation stemming from the West Coast of California to Texas & Georgia, to compete against elite athletes.
Renowned CrossFit competitors such as Jenn Jones, Julie Foucher, Andrea Ager, Ron Ortiz, Daniel Petro and Julian Serna are among the well-known CrossFit “elite” that have participated in the Crush Games.
“The I AM Crosssfit” family is excited to once again bring the Crush Games to the South Florida fitness community. Now in its fourth year, the Crush Games have tripled in size, bringing our athletes a diverse competition,” said Mike Osuna, Crush Games founder, and owner of the I AM Crossfit Family, which includes six CrossFit locations throughout South Florida including I Am Crossfit in Doral, South Miami, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Upper Keys.
Participants and spectators will also have the opportunity to shop for the latest in fitness equipment & apparel at Vendor Row. The atmosphere will also feature a Family Fun Zone where kids can enjoy activities such as bounce houses and carnival rides. Fans will have a chance to win prizes while participating in interactive spectator challenges and games.
