English Rock Band Muse Coming Exclusively To BB&T; Center On Friday, Feb. 22
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that Muse, an alternative rock band from England, will make an exclusive visit to South Florida when they bring their The 2nd Law North American Tour to the BB&T Center on Friday, Feb. 22.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone (800-745-3000), at www.ticketmaster.com and Monday, Oct. 15 at 9 a.m. at the BB&T Center box office.
“To have a band like Muse make an exclusive stop at the BB&T Center only adds to the great shows we have on tap for the beginning of 2013,” said SSE Executive Director of Event Programming Aaron Zimmerman. “They combine a great sound with an engaging show that will grab South Florida fans attention from the beginning of their show.”
Muse is Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme. Since forming in 1994, they have released five studio albums selling upwards of 15 million albums worldwide. The group's last album The Resistance reached Number 1 in 19 countries around the world, and they have won numerous awards around the world including a Best Rock Album Grammy Award and an American Music Award for The Resistance. In July 2012 Muse's song "Survival" was adopted as the official song of the 2012 Olympic Games. On October 2nd, the band released their 6th studio album The 2nd Law.
The recently renamed BB&T Center was ranked No. 13 in the United States and No. 35 in the world according to the mid-year arena venue rankings by trade publication Pollstar. The “Center of it All” has a remarkable schedule of concerts and events on tap for the remainder of 2012 including The Who, Carrie Underwood and Eric Church.
