MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic Participants Florida, Florida St., Fresno St. And UMass All Off To Hot Starts
No. 15 Florida, No. 21 UMass ranked in AP poll; Four teams have combined for a 23-6 start to the season
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the four teams competing in the 20th annual MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic at the BB&T Center (@theBBTCenter) on Saturday, Dec. 21 – No. 15 Florida (6-1), Florida State (5-2), Fresno State (6-3) and No. 21 UMass (6-0) – are a combined 23-6 thus far in this college basketball season.
The Gators and UMass were both ranked in the Associated Press poll this week while Florida State was in the “receiving votes” category in the poll.
Game times will be announced at a later date. Tickets are now available through www.ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet, by phone (800-745-3000) or at the BB&T Center box office.

Special ticket packages are available for supporters of the Florida Gators or the Florida State Seminoles. Starting at $75, packages include a ticket to both games, access to either the official Florida or official Florida State tailgate on the County-owned arena’s party City Patios (food and beverage included), and a commemorative gift. College hoops fans are encouraged to call 954-835-SHOW now to order their tickets since only 300 tickets are available for each tailgate.
