International Well Building Institute Well Health-Safety Rated 2020The health and safety of our BB&T Center family, guests and community is the single most important thing as we look towards reopening our doors. You have our word that we are working tirelessly to create a safe environment that hockey fans and concert goers can enjoy. Our team has been planning for months to adapt our arena, change our policies, and prepare our staff to welcome you back.

As patrons enter the BB&T Center, 'Red Reminders' will visually remind fans of important health and safety guidelines throughout their entire journey, from the moment fans enter the parking lot, to the time they take their socially-distanced seats.

Face Masks Required

  • All fans over the age of 2 years old and staff are required to properly wear a face covering (cloth or surgical type mask) at all times while inside BB&T Center.
  • Face coverings shall completely cover the mouth and nose, fit snugly against the sides of the face, and shall be secured under the chin.
  • Acceptable face coverings include medical grade masks or 3-layer cloth coverings (or at least two cloth layers with a filter).
  • Neck gaiters are not permitted to function as face coverings.
  • Bandanas are not permitted to function as face coverings.
  • Face shields must be accompanied by a mask. Use of a face shield does not eliminate the requirement to wear a face covering underneath.
  • Face coverings with exhalation valves or vents are prohibited.
  • Fans may only temporarily remove their masks when actively eating or drinking in their seats.

Physical Distancing

  • Fans are required to maintain social distancing from others at all times.
  • Physically distanced pod seating has been implemented in the BB&T Center arena bowl. 
  • Minimum congregation allowed in concourse areas.
  • Capacity restrictions in certain areas such as the team stores.
  • Red Reminder signage and directional signage will guide fans in lines at entrances and exits, security and screening areas, concessions, the Box Office, Pantherland, and other areas to make physical distancing guidelines easy and clear to follow.
  • Arena staff will ensure that guests have a safe, socially-distanced journey from arrival, to seat, to departure.  

Entry, Security & Screening

  • No bags permitted inside BB&T Center. Only small 4"x6" and under clutches will be permitted inside.
  • A socially distant entry & exit process has been implemented that includes social distancing Red Reminders signage and entrance lines marked with physically distanced 6 feet apart PAWS markers for fans.
  • Low-contact security screening for fans.
  • Enhanced cleaning of security equipment to ensure fan safety.
  • Fans will answer health and safety questions upon entering the building.

No Bag Policy

  • No purses, backpacks, backpack purses, cinch bags, or sling bags will be allowed inside BB&T Center.
  • Only small clutchs sized 4"x6" and under will be allowed.
  • Bag Check is offered outside on the tarmac. 

Contactless Mobile Ticketing

  • All tickets will be completely digital.
  • Using the Florida Panthers section of the National Hockey League mobile application, fans will be able to load, scan, and present mobile tickets to limit contact with box office staff.

Cashless Arena and Mobile Ordering

  • BB&T Center is now a completely cashless experience. No cash will be accepted.
  • Fans can access Mobile Ordering by downloading the NHL app and selecting the Florida Panthers as their favorite team. Click here to download the app.
  • Through Mobile Ordering Fans are able to purchase food and beverage items using their mobile devices, as well as, place food orders for contactless pick-up at select concession stand locations within BB&T Center. Click here for more information about Mobile Ordering. 

Food & Beverage

  • Mobile Ordering and express lane pick-up encouraged to limit fans in concession areas.
  • Concession lines marked with physically distanced 6 feet apart markers for fans.
  • Plexiglass dividers added to concession counters.
  • Guests may only safely and temporarily remove their masks while actively eating or drinking.
  • All concessions will be cashless.
  • All food items will be individually packaged, including condiments, and no refills on drinks, popcorn, or other items will be available.
  • Food Pick-Up Zones will be designated so guests can wait for their food in a physically distanced spot.
  • Food and beverages in suites, lounges, clubs, and other areas will also be covered or individually packaged.

Additional Measures

  • Fans should stay home if they are sick to ensure the well-being of themselves and other fans.
  • Smoking will not be permitted at BB&T Center, including electronic and other smoking devices.
  • New plexiglass screens have been installed throughout the arena and concession areas for added safety.
  • The Coors Light Cold Zone, Lord Stanley's Loft and the Sin Bin Restaurant will remain closed this season.

 

Safe Arena Experience

Enhanced Cleaning & Sanitization

  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces, restrooms, concessions, and other highly trafficked and higher-touch areas.
  • Bowl seating will be disinfected after every event.
  • Fans are encouraged to wash their hands frequently.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations added throughout the concourse.

Staff Safety

  • Employees must properly wear approved face masks at all times while inside BB&T Center.
  • Face coverings shall completely cover the mouth and nose, fit snugly against the sides of the face, and shall be secured under the chin.
  • All employees trained to comply and enforce COVID-19 Fan Safety Guidelines.
  • Mandatory employee health assessment and touchless temperature checks required upon entering the arena.

Pantherland & Box Office

  • All transactions at the Team Stores and Box Office will be cashless.
  • Staff will wear face masks and be separated from guests by plexiglass dividers.
  • Floor markings and clear signage will help guests stay physically distanced in lines and while shopping.
  • Capacity restrictions in the Team Stores.
  • There will be no arena entry or exit through Pantherland. Please use the main entrance doors.

Updated Restrooms

  • Motion-activated faucets, soap dispensers, and other touchless fixtures have been installed in all bathrooms throughout BB&T Center to reduce surface contact.
  • Where possible, restrooms will have designated entrances and exits to ensure guests can maintain physical distancing.

 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

You must follow all arena policies, including health and safety policies, and posted instructions while in the arena and on arena grounds.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the centers for disease control and prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By entering the arena and arena grounds, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
