SSE Installs New Floor On BB&T; Center Plaza Level And Main Entrance
Over 100,000 square feet of new floor installed on the arena’s plaza level
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that guests will be treated to a brand new floor on the BB&T Center’s (@theBBTCenter) plaza level and main entrance once installation is complete by Monday, Sept. 16.
The new “DiamondStone DiamondCast Flake Chip System” floor was installed by Techniquex, using a significant amount of local labor, and covers more than 100,000 square feet on the BB&T Center main entrance and plaza level including the concourse, food courts and restrooms.
The floor, which features the BB&T Center logo in the lobby, has a “terrazzo” look, incorporating the primary team/arena color of red with white on the main walkways and black on the three food courts.
“First of all we must thank our great partners at BB&T for their participation in this project. At SSE we are constantly looking for new ways to improve the guest experience while also maintaining the arena to the highest possible standard and we believe this new plaza level floor will go a long way toward that goal,” said SSE President Michael R. Yormark (@PanthersYormark). “With the new floor, new scoreboard, re-branded clubs, and a host of other improvements, the Broward County-owned BB&T Center continues to remain state-of-the-art and competitive with the world’s premier venues.”
“Not only will the new BB&T Center plaza level floor enhance the overall guest experience but it will also increase operational efficiency through ease of maintenance, cleaning, etc.,” said BB&T Center Sr. Vice President & General Manager Brett Stefansson. “I want to commend Techniquex for their use of local labor in getting this project done on time for our fans to enjoy it beginning with the Florida Panthers (@FlaPanthers) preseason doubleheader on Monday.”
