Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington Coming Exclusively to BB&T; Center on Sept. 17
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington will bring their North American tour exclusively to South Florida at the BB&T Center on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Platinum rock band FILTER will be the supporting act for the show.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, any Ticketmaster outlet or by phone (800-745-3000). Tickets will also be available at the BB&T Center box office on Monday, July 22 at 9 a.m.
Also, fans can enter to win two tickets to the show at the BB&T Center by entering the Win It Before You Can Buy It sweepstakes by entering the sweepstakes on the BB&T Center’s facebook page. The contest runs from July 15-18 with one person winning a pair of tickets to the show.

STP members Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz made their live debut with Chester Bennington at KROQ’s Weenie Roast in May. Since their surprise performance, the band has been busy working on new music for an upcoming EP to be released this fall. In an effort to take control of the way they will be delivering new music in the future, STP will release the upcoming EP via their own label, with distribution through ADA (Alternative Distribution Alliance). The debut single from the new STP lineup, Out of Time is currently Top 5 at Active Rock radio and climbing fast.
Formed in 1986, STP has been nominated for four Grammy Awards and has won for its songs “Plush”. Songs such as “Big Empty”, “Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart”, “Down” and “Between the Lines” has propelled STP into VH1’s The 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, ranking at No. 40 in 2010.
